🛡️ Player Safety First
Gambling is meant to be enjoyable entertainment. At 288ein, we are committed to providing Pakistani players with the tools, resources and information needed to keep it that way. This page covers everything you need to know about playing responsibly — from deposit limits and self-exclusion to recognising early warning signs of problem gambling.
If gambling is causing distress, financial harm or conflict in your life, you do not have to manage it alone. Recognised support services are available.
Support resources listed for informational context. Availability and services are subject to each organisation's own terms. 288ein does not represent these organisations or guarantee their services.
288ein provides a suite of responsible gambling tools that every registered player can access directly from their account settings. These tools are designed to help you stay in control of your gambling activity at all times.
Set a maximum deposit amount on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Once you reach your limit, further deposits are blocked for that period. Reducing your limit takes effect immediately; increasing it applies only after a mandatory cooling-off period — so the decision to set a limit is always protected.
Define the maximum amount you are prepared to lose over a set period. When your net losses reach that threshold, betting access is suspended for the remainder of the period. This removes the temptation to chase losses after a bad run — one of the most important safeguards responsible players use.
Set a cap on the total amount you wager — regardless of outcome — within a defined period. This limits total betting exposure independent of your account balance, giving you a straightforward way to control the volume of your gambling activity without needing to monitor individual bets.
Set reminders to alert you when you have been playing for a specified period of time. Long, uninterrupted sessions can cloud judgement and lead to decisions you wouldn't make with a clear head. Regular time-check prompts help you stay aware of how long you have been active and make an informed decision about whether to continue.
Take a short break from gambling by activating a cool-off period — available in durations ranging from 24 hours to several weeks. During a cool-off, your account is suspended from wagering activity. You can still log in to view your account history or submit a withdrawal during most cool-off periods, but you cannot place bets.
Self-exclusion is available for any player who believes gambling is harming their wellbeing. You can request self-exclusion for a defined minimum period or on a permanent basis. Once applied, self-exclusion cannot be reversed until the exclusion period has fully elapsed. If you are struggling, this is the most powerful tool available to you — use it.
Setting responsible gambling limits on 288ein takes less than two minutes. You do not need to contact support — all tools are available directly in your account settings panel. Here is how to get started:
We recommend every player — not just those with concerns — sets at least a monthly deposit limit when they first register. Starting with a limit in place is significantly more effective than trying to apply one after a losing streak has already begun.
Access the platform via your browser or the mobile app. Make sure you are logged in to your personal account — responsible gambling tools are account-specific.
Find the Responsible Gambling or Player Safety section within your account settings. This is clearly labelled and accessible from the main account menu.
Select from deposit limits, loss limits, wager limits, session time reminders, cool-off periods or self-exclusion. Each tool has its own clear configuration screen.
Enter your preferred limit in PKR (Rs) or in time units as applicable. The limit takes effect according to the tool's policy — reductions are immediate; increases involve a waiting period.
Review your settings and confirm. You will receive a notification confirming the limit is active. Limits can be reviewed and adjusted from the same settings panel at any time, subject to cooling-off rules.
Problem gambling rarely announces itself dramatically. It tends to develop gradually — small shifts in behaviour that, taken together, indicate that gambling has moved from entertainment to a problem. Recognising these signs early, in yourself or someone you care about, is the most important step.
Many players in Pakistan who develop gambling issues feel shame about discussing them openly, which delays getting help. There is no shame in using the tools available to you or seeking support — every responsible gambling tool on 288ein exists precisely for this purpose.
If three or more of the warning signs below apply to you, consider activating a cool-off period or self-exclusion immediately. You can contact our support team at [email protected] for guidance.
Spending more time or money gambling than you originally planned, consistently.
Feeling the need to gamble with larger amounts to experience the same level of excitement.
Chasing losses — placing further bets specifically to try to recover money already lost.
Feeling irritable, anxious or restless when attempting to reduce or stop gambling.
Concealing the extent of your gambling from family members or close friends.
Borrowing money, selling possessions or dipping into savings to fund gambling activity.
Gambling as a means to escape stress, emotional difficulties or personal problems.
Gambling is negatively affecting relationships, work performance or your mental health.
Repeatedly making unsuccessful attempts to cut down, control or stop gambling entirely.
Relying on others — including family in cities like Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad — to cover debts caused by gambling.
These questions are for personal reflection only. Your answers are not recorded or submitted anywhere. Be honest with yourself — the purpose is self-awareness, not judgement.
If you answered "Yes" to one or more of these questions, consider setting a deposit limit or activating a cool-off period in your account settings. If you answered "Yes" to three or more, we strongly encourage you to activate self-exclusion or contact a support organisation. There is no shame in asking for help.

Responsible gambling is not a legal checkbox for 288ein. It is a core part of how we operate and how we measure whether we are delivering a platform worth using. We actively work to detect signs of problem gambling and intervene before issues escalate.
Our approach is based on a simple principle: a player who is in control of their gambling, who understands the risks, and who uses our platform as entertainment — not as a financial strategy — is a player we are proud to serve. A player who is suffering is one we are obligated to help, not exploit.
Our platform monitors account behaviour for indicators of problem gambling — such as repeated loss-chasing, rapidly escalating bet sizes or frequent late-night sessions. Where these patterns are detected, we may proactively reach out to the player.
We do not send promotional communications designed to encourage chasing losses or re-engage players during periods of high-risk behaviour. Players on cool-off or self-exclusion are removed from all marketing lists immediately.
Every account on 288ein requires age verification before withdrawals are processed. We apply rigorous checks to ensure no minors can access gambling services on our platform — no exceptions.
Our customer support team is trained to handle responsible gambling conversations with sensitivity. If you contact us about gambling concerns, you will be met with support — not sales pitches. Reach us at [email protected].
We publish clear information about the odds structure, house edge, wagering requirements and responsible gambling tools. No hidden clauses, no fine print designed to mislead — we believe informed players make better decisions.
Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977, and associated provincial legislation restrict gambling activities in Pakistan. 288ein does not claim to be licensed, approved or endorsed by the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the State Bank of Pakistan, or any provincial authority.
Users based in Pakistan must independently determine whether accessing online gambling platforms is lawful under applicable local law before registering or depositing funds. This page and its responsible gambling guidance do not constitute legal advice.
